Maggie: Eight Months
Likes/Dislikes: Seriously, there isn't much Maggie doesn't like. She is so calm and easy going that not much bothers her. She hates being overtired (who doesn't!) and taking her reflux medicine. Maggie loves her sister and playing with her or watching her in complete awe. She continues to love her bouncer, chewing on anything cold while cutting teeth and sitting in her high chair and. I don't know if she likes this, but it sure seems like it by the giggles she gets when she is tickled in her armpits or thighs.
Development: Maggie's really rocking when up on her hands and knees and looks like she could crawl any moment, but no dice yet. She cut her third bottom tooth and her two top teeth are getting close. I was convinced she had another ear infection, but it was just three teeth coming in at once. Maggie's talking and squealing more and more. We are working on kisses and waving :)
Sleeping: She's still going to bed between 6:30-7:00 (at the latest) and sleeping until around 6:00. We have the occasional night we may have to go in there and giver her her pacifier, or she may wake up at 5:15 or sleep until 6:30. Naps are about the same with a shorter one in the morning, a longer one in the afternoon and sometimes a catnap in the early evening. As always, my kids sleep better everywhere but our house :)
Eating: We've introduced puffs and melts to Maggie and she LOVES them (as does big sister). She picked on pretty quick the coordination of picking them up and bring them to her mouth. Still having seven ounce bottles every four hours and two meals a day.
Family Update: We are coming off the holiday season and getting back into a groove. With Matt gone, we are trying to stay busy and schedule play dates or outings. I was so lucky to get spend three days with just Maggie and I while Emma was out of town visiting Uncle Ben. It was time I rarely get and I cherished and loved every minute. I really tried to soak her in and give her special attention, it was amazing.
